PowerPlot Privacy Policy
PowerPlot is a battery measurement app. It records the battery readings Android exposes and turns them into sessions, charts, and exports. PowerPlot does not collect or share your data.
No network or accounts
PowerPlot does not request Android's Internet permission. It has no account, sign-in, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution SDK, remote configuration, or third-party data collection.
Data kept on your device
Sessions, battery samples, markers, settings, and related measurements are stored in PowerPlot's private app storage on your device. PowerPlot does not transmit this data to us or to third parties.
Optional Usage Access
If you explicitly grant Android Usage Access in system settings, PowerPlot may read screen-interaction timing and foreground-app durations during a recording. This is used only for timeline context; PowerPlot does not claim to measure an app's battery energy use. The permission is optional and core battery recording works without it. Package names are redacted from shared exports by default.
Exports and sharing
PowerPlot creates an export only when you choose to do so through Android's system file picker or share sheet. An export can contain the session data and methodology shown in the app. After you share a file, its handling is governed by the app or person you chose to receive it.
Notifications and background recording
PowerPlot may request notification permission so it can show the foreground-service notification while a long measurement is running. This is used to keep measurement progress visible; denying notifications does not send any data elsewhere.
Backup, retention, and deletion
PowerPlot excludes its session database from automatic backup and device transfer. Android may include the app's preferences in the backup settings of the Google account you chose for system backup; PowerPlot cannot access that backup. You can delete a session from its detail screen, or delete all recorded data in Settings. Deletion is immediate and local. Uninstalling the app removes its app-private data.
Children
PowerPlot is not directed at children. It contains no ads or purchases.
Changes and contact
If a future version adds network access or materially changes these practices, this policy will be updated before that version is released. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
